UMaT ELECTIONS FINALLY COME TO A CONCLUSION.......You couldn't have anticipated this outcome

The University of mines and technology recently went to polls to elect leaders into the various Offices of the SRC President, Financial Secretary and Treasurer, Local NUGS President, and other executive offices of both the SRC and NUGS concerned.

This election had been a long anticipated one, since it had been called off a couple of times before finally taking effect. It was initially set to occur in October last year, but was called off amidst controversy over vetting results. The election was then fixed to take place in the mid weeks of January, however was postponed again to the 14th of February 2025. Again this date was not feasible, as the school had to inaugurate first year students in other to grant them the full rights to exercise their choice. Finally on the 28th of February 2025, the students of UMaT found their voice, and their choice was clear.
